Sill Optics is a medium-sized German company, which has specialized in the in-house development and production of optical components of highest quality, “Made in Germany”.
The product range comprises precision optics and lenses for machine vision, laser-, medical and measurement systems which are used by market leaders worldwide.
Development, design and manufacturing of precision optics and lenses for machine vision, laser- and medical technology and measurement.
Telecentric F-Theta lenses with large scan area
Sill Optics presents the S4LFT4125/075 as an advancement for lasers with ultraviolet. The scan area has been improved from 35.0 mm x 35.0 mm up to 50.5 mm x 50.5 mm compared to the previous model. Despite the higher focal length a focal diameter of 8 µm (1/e²) can be reached inside the whole scan area with a 10 mm input beam diameter.
Stainless steel beam expanders for UV applications
UV laser light brings many advantages to laser applications via its short wavelength, but this high photon energy does also lead to bleaching of anodized aluminum resulting in lens damage via the residues. Sill Optics is therefore presenting stainless steel versions of their commonly available beam expanders.
Especially in the area of large object fields the offers on the market are very different from manufacturer to manufacturer. The expenditure on raw glass, manufacturing lens elements with high diameters to high precision, and requirements on the optical coating have a significant impact onto the...| » Further reading
Aspheres offer the great advantage to accomplish monochromatic imaging tasks with one optical element where multiple lens elements would otherwise be needed. Another application of an asphere is beam shaping with respect to the intensity distribution or the phase. A typical conversion is the cha...| » Further reading
