Swiss engineering and the most modern manufacturing systems
ELESTA GmbH looks back on a company history rich in tradition. Our roots go back to the founding of ELESTA Elektrotechnik AG in 1952, where until 1996 a number of innovations were implemented, among other light-optical sensors, measuring and control systems and relays.
1997 ELESTA relays GmbH was founded as a manufacturer of relays with forcibly guided contacts according to IEC 61810-3. In 2013 the company was renamed ELESTA GmbH.
We develop and manufacture products in three areas:
In our location in Bad Ragaz (CH) we currently employ 265 individuals. All our products are designed and manufactured in on location.
Our company operates according to Lean principles. Our goal is continuous improvement in all areas of the company and the further development of our products to the benefit of our customers.
Relays with forcibly guided contacts according to IEC 61810-3
Our relays cover switching currents from 3 mA to 16 A. Relay coils to 240 VDC are also available in energy efficient variants. Also available are variants for specific standards and customer requirements.
Miniature Optical Encoders
Our miniature optical encoders EOIR007 are the result of profound knowledge of electromechanical systems combined with a completely new mode of action of light optical encoders.
E OI R007
The E OI R007 is an optical incremental encoder with an unique code wheel design with high precision reflective system. An outstanding benefit is the low current consumption, easy assembly and its compact design. It is designed to have a low sensitivity to installation tolerances.
Supply voltage 3 V...6 V
Supply current 2 mA...6 mA
Rotational speed > 100.000 min-1
Line count 128
The SIF 3 relay is a small and above all flat 3-contacts relay. These 3-pole relays with forcibly guided contacts according to IEC 61810-3 come in an extremely flat design (10.9 mm). They stand out for a large switching current range.
Contact mounting 2 NO / 1 NC
Switching current range 3 mA to 10 A
Coil voltage 3 VDC to 110 VDC (non-standard coils available upon request)
Nominal coil power 0.6 W
Design (LxWxH) 33,65 x 29,25 x 10,9 mm
Approvals UL, cUL, TÜV
The SIR10 series are powerful, compact 10-pole relays with forcibly guided contacts in accordance with IEC 61810-3 for switching loads up to 10 A. Crown contacts for high switching reliability. Wide coil working ranges. Relays with less contacts are available.
Contact mounting 10 poles freely configurable
Switching current range 10 mA to 10 A
Coil voltage 3 VDC to 220 VDC (non-standard coils available upon request)
Nominal coil power 1,3 W
Design (LxWxH) 85,5 x 20 x 32 mm
Approvals UL, cUL, TÜV
ELESTA GmbH has added a 3-channel optical encoder in an aluminium housing to its product portfolio of miniature encoders. With a length of 13mm and a diameter of 7 mm, it is one of the smallest encoders of this type which is currently on the market. In the housing is the patented encoder syste...| » Further reading
With a new design the height of the ELESTA encoder system E OI R007 has been reduced from 3.05 mm to 2.25 mm. While the code wheel with their 128 segments and the uniquely shaped surface geometry remained unchanged, the changes to the sensor circuit board are obvious. Newly developed sensor com...| » Further reading
