TOPAG Lasertechnik GmbH has been founded in 1993 and is established as major supplier for products in laser technology and laser optics. The main product range for the Asian market covers diffractive and refractive beam shaping optics, e.g. Top Hat generators and beam splitters for multispot arrays. Our beam shapers are developed for use in industrial laser micromachining and optical measuring technology.
TOPAG Lasertechnik GmbH developed diffractive and refractive laser beam shaping optics. TopHat beam shapers transform a Gaussian input beam into a homogeneous square, rectangular or circular spot shape in working plane. TopHat beam shapers increase the quality and speed of the ablation process. Beam splitters generate 1- or 2-dim. spot arrays. These spot arrays are for example used in optical metrology and for parallel processing. TOPAG also offers customized solutions in beam shaping and splitting. Further products are beam samplers for monitoring as well as diffractive variable laser beam attenuators for high power industrial lasers.
GTH - Gauss-to-Top Hat beam shaper
These types of beam shapers have a free form surface which redistributes a Gaussian input beam (TEM00) into a Top Hat profile. TOPAG offers three standard modules for square Top Hat shape. Typical Top Hat widths are from 100μm up to 2mm using GTH-4-2.2 or GTH-3.6-1.75 or from 500μm up to few cm using GTH-5-250-4. GTH beam shapers operate within a wavelength range from VIS to NIR. Other Top Hat shapes (rectangular or circular) or sizes are available on request.
FBS - Gauss-to-Top Hat Focus Beam Shaper
By introducing the FBS beam shaper in front of an existing focusing optic, a Gaussian input beam is transformed into a near diffraction limited homogeneous Top Hat profile in focal plane, typically with sizes of several micrometers. The achievable Top Hat size just depends on the used wavelength (lambda) and the numerical aperture (NA) of the focusing system and is approximately given by lambda/NA.
DBS - Diffractive beam splitter
Beam splitters are diffractive optical elements for generation of linear or 2-dimensional spot arrays (n x m). They are suitable for parallel laser material processing, parallel laser scanning, laser perforation and optical measurement to increase throughput. Beam splitters can also be used in combination with beam shapers.
TOPAG has recently successful finished a R&D project. It is related to parallel processing with multibeam arrays and ultra short pulsed lasers. The application is useful for laser dicing and highspeed drilling in glass, metal and ceramics. With such expertise TOPAG is ready to support their customers in optical system design for laser material processing.
